On Sat Feb 5th, we welcomed Sky into our home! She is a 10 month-old Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever (Toller for short) that comes to us from a breeder in Calgary. We went to see Sky at a dog show, then ended up bringing her home for a couple days to test her out with Stacey's allergies. Over the weekend we fell in love with her, and with no allergies, she officially became ours on the Monday! We are co-owning her with her breeder, which basically means she will be shown at dog shows until she receives her Championship, then at around 2 years she will become a mom for a litter. Her breeder felt she was just too special not to breed! Then she will formally become ours only. Until then, we basically take care of her for all of the time except the occasional show weekend. Sky comes to us with lots of manners, is alot of fun, and a very mellow dog for her breed. She loves to play catch and run around, and when she's in the house she's either sleeping or cuddling with us. Mat and I are both really enjoying having her in our lives!
